Our Story
The Biggest Adventures Start With The Smallest Moments.
Not at the summit. Not at the start line. But somewhere in between the first sip and the first step.
In the quiet place where comfort becomes courage, planning becomes moving and dreaming becomes doing, we believe this is where the adventure truly begins.
This is the belief that has inspired Grounds for Adventure. We craft coffee for those moments - the deep breaths, the decisions that feel small but change everything. The warmth in your hands fuelling the wild in your heart to turn the 'what if' into 'why not!'
Adventure is always closer than we think. Its a walk amongst the trees, taking a different way home or a new idea that grows into something bigger. But adventure doesn't exist without the ground to start from. The landscapes that have inspired us are the same ones that shape the character of our beans. So as we fuel bold and brave steps, we also commit to protecting the world that makes them possible
Because adventure means nothing without the ground beneath it.
Where adventure begins
The story behind the coffee
it all started with an idea
Grounds for Adventure started with an idea and coffee tasting day that we went to on a whim as a fun day out. Somewhere between tasting coffees and playing around with blends, we realised just how much we enjoyed it and how much we loved good coffee with a story behind every bean.
So we took the plunge, did the ground work and started building Grounds for Adventure.
We still work our day jobs in the NHS so this adventure has grown alongside our everyday life - built in the evenings, at weekends and whenever we can find the time.
Its still early days, but this is our adventure and we're excited to see where it takes us!
Our Values
We love coffee with a story behind the beans. We have taken the time to find speciality coffees that we genuinely enjoy and want to share.
Adventure Starts Small
We don't think that adventure has to mean faraway places and all out expeditions. It could be a walk amongst the trees, taking the long way home, stepping out of the front door or simply deciding to give something new a go.
We would love to hear about your adventures (big or small)! Check out our Start Here Sunday's on Instagram.
Leave Something Good Behind
The places and the communities behind our coffee matter. We want to make thoughtful choices as we grow, learning more about where our beans come from and the people behind them, all while helping to protect the landscape that inspire us.
Good Coffee, Good Stories
